Hi, my name is Jimmy Callian.  I was born and raised in Goleta, California. My connection with nature began at a young age, when I first paddled out on a surfboard to ride the waves. That connection has continued to grow deeper throughout my life. My time in the water is special, almost sacred - not only gliding down the line of a wave but being immersed in the ocean, feeling the energy, watching the sea birds, the sea life around me and the reflection of light ever changing as it dances on the water.

 

Through photography I try and capture the dynamic moments at night, using long exposures and natural light. My goal is to draw the viewer into an ethereal, kinetic moment in time in order to see the world in a different and unique light, and be inspired by the unique moments I capture.
